I found that working two jobs myself and my husband working full time, we didn't have the time to run around to all the dealers. The reason we approached your particular brokership was simply the abilty to deal with a person(s) -(Your Staff), rather than a computer.

The reason we felt the need to approach a broker in the first place was the puerile sales methods sought to be applied to us by a metropolitan Melbourne Subaru dealership where we were quoted an insupportable figure for a 2006 demonstrator to which the dealership - having run up thousands of kilometres upon it- sought to apply GST as a separate charge (not to mention state duties on the quoted price + GST) and then to play the "good cop bad cop" game where the sales person would be on our side (hearty laughter here please) against his greedy office manager.

Such subterfuges do not appeal to us, nor we would suspect, to any other rational adult.

I never thought there was so much time and energy spent in buying a new car

I managed to drag a friend with me one weekend to go look for a new car, and after 5 hours of driving to multiple dealers, it seemed we were getting nowhere.

One week later I tried a different approach, and after sifting through results on the net regarding Car Brokers, I decided to try New Cars Australia. It's fantastic what motoring gems like New Cars Australia you can find on the internet.

There are three Mitsubishi dealers in the Canberra region. I wandered into one to checkout an Outlander and was met initially with enthusiastic service. They could not show me the model I wanted, nor the colour, but kept promising that 'one of that colour will be in tomorrow'. After a week I never did see it. I was quoted full price for the car and accessories and the trade-in for my car was less than the savings Steve negotiated on my behalf.

Dealer number two had the model Outlander I was interested in when I initially enquired by phone, but then rang back to say it was out for a few days.

I went into the sales room at dealer number three but could not get a salesperson to assist me - I approached the service department and they paged a salesman but after 10 minutes I left in disgust.

It was obvious I could not negotiate a competitive price in such an environment. Thank goodness for New Cars Australia. I sent one enquiry to their website, was contacted promptly by Steve who found me a fantastic deal by the end of the day.

It was a pleasure dealing with Steve and Natasha, they were always friendly and accommodating; nothing was too much trouble. The dealer they found was also a pleasure to deal with, the delivery from Sydney

We saw New Cars Australia on the net, when we were looking for the car that we were interested in, so we thought we would give them a try. At this stage, we had nothing to loose.This was the first time that we have ever thought of buying anything over the net,not to mention a CAR, which made us a bit nervous.(We hadn't even kicked a tyre).

We were looking for a cheaper car, around the $20K drive away, so we weren't expecting any big discounts, but Steve got a huge discount price, around $2K.less. Just imagine how big of a discount he could do with a more expensive car!
